Bare Legs...Sort Of

I'm happy to announce that it's finally starting to feel like spring around here!

The temperature was in the low 50's yesterday, so I went for my first outdoor run of the season. It was amazing! I love having the option to run outside, because as much as I want to work out regularly, I just find it really hard to get myself into that gym. I know I'm not alone in that feeling.

I always get a good workout and leave completely drenched in sweat, but it's never fun to do cardio in the gym. Let's face it - there's nothing interesting about running on a treadmill. NOTHING. I watch TV, listen to music, do interval training, and all of the other tricks to pass the time, but it will never compare to the real thing.

Another way I've been embracing the warm(ish) temperatures is by rocking the bare legs, if wearing a maxi skirt counts. I say it counts!

I've only been a fan of the maxi skirt since last summer, so this was the first time I've ever styled it in cooler weather. I feel like it's an idea I'll continue playing around with...especially if it continues being too cold to show just a bit more leg.

  6. Haha I'm so done with winter - I've seriously contemplated moving somewhere where the weather is nice year round. low 50s for spring shouldn't be allowed!
That said, this outfit is so cute! Way to keep warm and bring spring into your wardrobe at the same time - the maxi skirt is a great idea and the scarf is such a lovely color! You look so pretty!

    1. Honestly, if I was able to move somewhere warm, I would, but it's hard as a Canadian!

I'd take low 50's at this point...I woke up to snow this morning. Like, BIG flakes. That's what shouldn't be allowed :P

  27. Even if under a maxi skirt, it still counts as bare legs!! Maxi skirts are pretty much the only skirt I'll wear with bare legs - I'm one of those people that has a thing about their legs. I've quite a bad varicose vein (made worse when pregnant) and I'm quite fair skinned so veiny in general. Honestly, I'm doing the general public a favour by keeping them under wraps. Haha!

After that tangent, lovely outfit - I like the scarf colour pop.

  31. The only thing that keeps me motivated at the gym while on the treadmill is silent competition with the runner next to me. Lol I know how horrible that sounds but I think we all do it. Whatever keeps you moving is my motto. Love this look!
