Varsity Style

Do you ever have those days where you just cannot be bothered to wash your hair?

Today was one of those days where I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair.

I know I'm not alone, because Pintrest is full of fun ideas of how to style your somewhat greasy locks. A lot of the different tutorials wouldn't ever work with my type of hair (thin and fine), but I've found some really great ideas nonetheless. Today, I tried some sort of twisted-over-a-headband-type-style. It worked quite well and was as easy as it looked.

Ever since I cut my hair back in September, I need to be a little bit more creative with my "lazy day" styles because the go-to sock bun is a lot trickier than it used to be. Layers look great when your hair is down, but they look less great when you're trying to get it all rolled up into that sock!

In the photos below, I decided I was tired of waiting for my hair to get long enough for the sock bun and just went with it anyways. It turned out okay, I suppose!

I decided the bun worked well with the old-school varsity look I had going on, between the jacket and the red boyfriend cords.

This was a more casual outfit than I sometimes wear, but it was a bit of a dreary day, so I wanted to be comfy, and bright.

What are your "go to" hairstyles when you want to wait another day before washing it?
