Are we really in the countdown to Labor Day weekend? REALLY?!
It still very much feels like summer around here, between the super humid weather, lighter traffic and tanned skin.
But...it's those little changes that have been creeping up on us lately. Oh, you know... the leaves starting to change color, the days getting a bit shorter, and way too many"back to school" sales.
Today, I was a mix of emotions. It was the soft launch of Pumpkin Spice at Starbucks. For the next while, as I "transition" my morning pick me up into fall, my one pump of classic syrup in my iced coffee will be replaced by pumpkin spice. I was super upset and overjoyed this morning to have that first sip. Pumpkin spice is my favorite, but it's a bit bittersweet when they release it.
Why not enjoy the first tastes of fall, while holding onto the last of summer? I'm still rocking my summer bright, after all.
I got this mint dress last summer and I've loved it ever since. I don't often wear high neck dresses, but this one seems to really work, probably because of the full skirt.
Since I basically freeze to death in the office every day, I paired it with this striped jacket that I got back in the spring. I think it pairs better with the dress than the XL hoodie I keep on the back of my chair for those days I don't plan ahead in the morning!
Outfit Details:
Dress - H&M
Belt - Banana Republic
Jacket - Gap
Bag - J Crew Factory
Shoes - Ralph Lauren via The Bay
Necklace - Jacob
If you didn't know pumpkin spice was out yet...go now and enjoy it iced!!
The color of your dress is absolutely fab! Mint is a perfect summer color but I love that you made the look cozy by adding that jacket. I also love that pop of red in your shoes! Gorgeous look!

Thanks - it's a sock bun! My hair doesn't look like that without some help. :)
DeleteI love how you paired your lovely dress with red shoes! You'd think mint and red wouldn't go well together but it looks great! :) I love A-line dresses like the one you're wearing!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure either about the red with the mint, but I figured I'd try it anyways.
DeleteA line dresses are by far my favorite!
I like the way you styled this dress! I have a very similar one, but in black, and I am at a loss on how to style it. One time I wore it with my striped black and white blazer. I think the mint looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteIf your dress is black, the possibilities are endless! Going into fall, I'm sure it would look great with an infinity scarf, an oversized cardigan and booties. Wait, I'll probably wear that too :)
DeleteSo cute, the color of that dress is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kacie!!
DeleteLove this take on the h&m mint dress. The addition of the striped blazer gives it a little edge. Too cute! I just might duplicate your look this week :)

I know, that's what I've been thinking reading some blogs these days too. Winter is long enough, no need to start early!
DeleteI'm not ready to start with the pumpkin pie, but the extra spice in my ICED coffee is welcome.
So cute!! Love the blazer and how you paired it with this dress..
