Let me start off by saying, this post does NOT include photos of me wearing lingerie. Just wanted to get that out there...
For those of you that have been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I recently celebrated one year as a blogger. It's a hobby that I'm still loving, and one that's recently brought forth some new opportunities that I couldn't be more excited about.
I was thrilled when Adore Me Lingerie reached out a few weeks ago, to see if I wanted to review one of their sets and spread the word about their line. They recently launched a new spring collection, which includes their first fully in-house designed DD+ collection, as well as swim and their first activewear collection.
Adore Me is a relatively new company, having started up in 2012. Their goal was to create fashionable, high quality, perfectly fitting intimates at an affordable price point. In two short years, they've grown quite significantly! Their business model is a bit different than other companies like them. They offer a VIP Monthly Membership, which allows subscribers to save a ton of money on their pieces. Even if you don't sign up for a membership, the prices are very reasonable because they sell exclusively online, cutting out the costs of operating retail stores.
I'd heard about Adore Me a while back and remember looking at their site. When I only saw the "traditional" sizes, I shrugged it off and figured it wasn't for me, since most lingerie isn't.
Bras are one of those things I just hate to shop for because, there's nothing fun about it when your size is uncommon. Selection is better than it was say, 5 years ago, but I can't exactly walk into a store like Victoria's Secret and walk away with a bra that fits. It's something I can't understand, because I know a lot of people with large chests, and we all struggle with the same problem...and minimal collections of (ugly) bras.
It was so exciting to scan through the new DD+ selection of bras on the Adore Me site and actually see a ton of cute styles in my size. The only concern I had (which was the same concern a friend of mine pointed out), is that they refer to the larger sizes as "plus size." I think the line could be marketed differently. I'm self conscious as it is about my size!
Marketing aside, I was thrilled when my set came. I chose the Cassandra Contour because I loved the subtle lace detailing, and the pretty pattern. I also noticed the straps weren't too thick, which is one of my biggest pet peeves about larger sized bras.
As for the fit, it actually fits like a glove! The straps adjust all of the way (big one for me, since I have small shoulders) and it offers a lot of support. I also really love the shape the bra gives. I know that may sound a bit strange, but I have tried on bras that make me look pointy and it's gross!
The bottoms are great too, though I'm more of a thong girl. Some of the other sets had thong options, but I chose this one based on the bra.

YEs I actually have a set from them. I didn't commit to the monthly because I wanted to try it first. The fit of the underwear is a little loose, but since it was a new brand I sized up. The bra fits GREAT but the straps constantly slip out of the loop since it's a convertible bra. Other than that, gorgeous. I want to try their bathing suits next!
