Long weekends are the best, aren't they?!
I could get used to having 3 days off. I feel like that extra day just gives you enough time to relax, get stuff done (that you're too busy to do the rest of the week), and have fun. Even though we're enjoying a short week in Canada right now, I'll be jealous when all of my American friends have an extra day off next week.
I really didn't do anything overly exciting this weekend, but it was still really nice. A couple of friends and I went to a really fun new restaurant that opened up nearby. It's a Craft Beer restaurant, which has become the new "trend" as of late. We each had an entree, a drink, and a couple of appetizers to share. One of the appetizers was this cheesy pancetta popcorn and it was just...fabulous. The flavours just work so well together, especially with a nice local beer.
This weekend, I also had my first softball game of the season. It was nice to finally get onto the field. The start of the season has been pushed a few times due to the cold temperatures and frequent rain showers.
It's frustrating to get rained out of my games, but it's also frustrating as a blogger, with a tendency to frizz at the sheer sight of rain! This past week has been rainy almost every day, so I've really been struggling to get any photos to share on the blog. Luckily, I like to plan ahead, so I had some photos from the week before, featuring one of my favourite skirts from last year.
