Happy Memorial Day to my American friends!
I hope y'all are enjoying a long weekend full of sunshine, fun, and relaxation. I know we just had a long weekend in Canada, but I can't help but be super jealous of everyone that's been off today. I blame Instagram. My feed is full of great shots from the long weekend.
Now that the warm weather and sunshine are finally here, all I want to do is spend time outside. Since I do work a full-time job, it means I have to make the most of my evenings and weekends. A lot of my evenings for the next few months will be spent on the softball diamond, which is what I love to do. Weekends are more of a mixed bag.
This weekend, I spent a ton of time being active outdoors. I had a lot of fun, and kept busy, but it just meant I needed a venti iced coffee this morning, instead of my usual grande. Seems to be a common occurrence at this time of year...
When the weather warms up, I find I'm much more willing to be "social" because I actually want to go outdoors. In the winter, I really don't like to go out as much, because it's just not a pleasant experience. It's been really nice to keep more in touch with friends I wouldn't otherwise see as often. Now that patio season is here, I see a lot more nights out with friends on the horizon.
Another bonus? Some of these friends actually get excited to help me out by shooting some pictures for this little ol' blog. My friend Amanda shot these photos and we had so much fun doing it. We had to stop a few times to avoid getting hit by cars that drove by, but it was all in good fun. Oh, and we were a bit late for dinner, but that's okay, too.
Thanks again for the great shots! You're welcome to help any time :)
OUTFIT DETAILS:
I was off today but you don't have to be super jealous--it rained heavily all weekend where I am in South Texas. Barely left the house lol.
ReplyDeleteThese are really nice photos. Your shoes are a standout to me. Something I would probably see as strange-looking in the store but on you they're interestingly strange... :)

Aw, rain is no fun!
DeleteI think the "strange" aspect of the shoes is what drew me to them :)
Love these pants! The print is awesome and goes really well with the rest of the outfit!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog as well, hope to see you back soon!

Hi Jackie! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! I appreciate it! You look like you are having so much fun in your photos! I think the best photos are the ones where you ARE actually having fun. Sad to say I do not own a chambray shirt. I have bought one before from ON but it didn't work out!

I know, trust me, I don't argue if ANYONE is willing to help with the photos. It's a lot more fun than trying to take them all myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally crap at sports too. Just because I play, doesn't mean I'm "good."
Gorgeous ! Love the way you paired these prints. If you have a minute id love to hear your thoughts on my latest outfit post.

Warmer weather always cheers me up :) And even if you do work full time, the sun is out long enough that you can squeeze in some time outdoors even on week days! Love the color + print combo. And your shoes are too cute! I'm not really into the mules trend, but I love this cross between mules & booties :)

Love your chambray! The prints look really great on you! And the sandals too <3

Yay for warmer weather!! Luckily I live in a warm climate but if I move somewhere colder, I probably won't want to venture outside more than necessary either!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is lovely! I don't see patterned chambray tops too often but I'm loving the print on yours. And those shoes are amazing. Just sayin.

(Hmmm...I missed this post somehow!) This is super cute and love the shirt as a jacket, like you mentioned on IG. The Gap bag was such a good purchase, it's like a more affordable version of a JCrew/Madewell bag :)
