It's been a little while, hasn't it? As I mentioned in my last post, I was on vacation, down in Punta Cana. Though I've done a lot of travelling lately, it was the first time in a long time that I was able to sit back, relax and just soak up some sun. I know that kind of low-key trip isn't for everyone, but for me, it was fabulous.
My mom and I have gone down almost every year since I was in college. It started as an idea one year, and has since become an annual tradition. We both love the beach, and soaking up the sun, so it works.
I ended up catching a bit of a head cold right at the end of my trip, so today is my first day back at work in quite a while. Wish me luck - it's been nice having that little bubble of no stress and I'm sure hundreds of emails are waiting.
I have some photos from my trip to sort through, but in the meantime, I wanted to share an outfit that I wore just before heading south. In going through my closet to pack, I found some of my fun printed pants that got lost amongst the corduroy and wool.
The pants are a little bit pajama-like, but I figured the wedges and silky blouse helped to dress them up. Comfort for the win!
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Sweater - Aerie // Blouse - 5/48 via Sak's Off Fifth // Pants - Forever 21
Necklace - H&M // Booties - Costa Blanca
How would you dress up printed pants?
I love the teal blouse on you! The color looks so fantastic on you! I really like the printed pants as well. Beautiful.

Sometimes I really love the touring, crazy busy trips...but sometimes, the exact opposite is even better.
DeleteWelcome back! You look so stylish and comfy - I've been seeing this type of pant everywhere and I love them! Such a colorful and effortless look.

Aw thanks Deborah! The print is fun, but it's the comfort-factor that won out with this look.
Deleteoh how I would love to travel, sucks that you got sick towards the end though. Anyway, very cute outfit. Looks super comfy which is always the best :)

It's okay, I would much rather be sick at the end of a trip than at the beginning!
DeleteWhat a fun print! I love the blues you paired with it! I am incredibly jealous of your trip. How nice a vacation sounds!

Thank you so much! I figured since the pants had so many blues and teals mixed into them, that it would work.
DeleteWhat a nice yearly tradition! I wish my mom and I took a tropical vacation every year. Hope you had an amazing time and are feeling better! Love those pants!

Haha yes, they will come :)
DeleteLOL!!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely see you wearing fun pants like these...probably with an oversized cardi as well.
Oh my goodness! I love this entire outfit. How I would wear printed paints is definitely not as creative as you... I'd just pair them with a white tee, because I lack the ability to style them :) But seeing this post is helpful!
