It's still unseasonably cold and today like all other mornings, when I got to work, my eyes were watering like crazy from the wind blowing in my face. Usually, it's no big deal, but on days like today when I have client meetings, I wonder why I don't switch to water proof mascara.
When it comes to outfit planning, I've been a bit bored with my winter clothes, but I know I've been wearing a lot of neutrals lately - see here, here, and here. To switch things up, I brought out one of my (old) bright cardigans to add a pop of colour to an otherwise neutral outfit. I came to realize that just about all of my new cardigans from this year have been black, grey, burgundy, black, etc. Note to self in winter 2015 - buy some bights.
It's been ridiculously cold out here and there's a snowstorm headed our way as we speak! Totally feeling you on those cold morning commutes.
ReplyDeleteThat said you are dressed perfectly! I love that you don't let the cold weather stop you from looking so fabulous! That leopard skirt and bright pink cardigan look like they were made to be paired together! Gorgeous!

Oh, trust me....there's definitely days where I just can't wear something like this. Honestly, the more the cold temperatures continue, the more I seem to be able to tolerate taking off my coat for these photos!
DeleteI love the color of this cardigan. Yes please to more brights! My favorite color is salmon/pink so I need to find a similar sweater. Btw, I also love the combo with the green hat; pink+green is a woefully underused coordinate.

It's a hard colour to find for some reason!
DeleteI actually didn't even realize I had the pop of green from the necklace until I saw the photos. I just like a long necklace with this type of look and that's the one I had handy. When it works, why question it, right?
Cute hat and skirt! I've been dying to get a black floppy hat.

As a resident leopard print aficionadio, I approve of your outfit! :-) Love your unique spin on the classic winter outfit! I'm so with you on the boring neutral outfits; I'm tired of wearing all black and gray! Of course, having moved to NYC for school has definitely incorporated more "black" in my wardrobe, but I miss wearing the bright, fun colors that LA was all about!
ReplyDeleteThe pop of hot pink pairs so well with the leopard print! Hmm, I might just need to get a matching cardigan too, hehe ;)
You've got such a wonderful blog! ^_^ I am your newest follower on BlogLovin. Hoping we can stay in touch!
