Weekend Getaway to NYC/NJ - Part 2 (The Sights of NJ)

Isn't it crazy that we're more than halfway through October?! In Toronto, we've been pretty lucky so far with the weather. It's been pretty seasonal and relatively dry, so I've been enjoying every glimpse that I can of the beautiful fall colours. I'm starting to notice there's more leaves on the ground than on the trees in some places.

I find it's tough to transition from one of the most beautiful times of the year to the ugliest. Can't the leaves just hang on a little longer??

Since I love the fall colours so much, when I was in New York and New Jersey last week, I couldn't stop taking photos of the incredible fall colours. I didn't make it to Central Park this time, but I'll bet it's even more beautiful than normal. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in town during the fall.

In my last post, I shared about some of the food that I ate on my trip, but I wanted to share a small snip-it of photos that show some of the wonderful sights that New Jersey has to offer. Aside from exploring downtown NYC, I spent some time in Princeton, as well as a really nice nature preserve and a small local farm.  We've all seen beautiful photos from NYC, so I thought I'd share some from areas that are less travelled.

After a walk through a tropical greenhouse, it was essential that the hair get tied up!

This was a photo taken on the Princeton campus. Hands down the most beautiful campus I've ever seen!

That's all, folks!

I hope everyone has a great start to their week :)

  9. Once I got lost in Princeton while trying to get from Albany to DC. I have no idea how this happened, because it's not like it's on the way and I entirely blame my horrible navigator. I didn't really see much, since we were more focused on trying to get out of town :P However, it does look very pretty, so maybe I should go back!

    1. From what I've seen, the roads in the area are extremely confusing, so that doesn't surprise me.

It's basically a picturesque little town, so if you're not trying to get somewhere else, it's a great place to check out!

    1. Princeton honestly looks so much like you'd imagine it would in the movies, just because it's so stereotypical pretty college town.
