Fall Staples

So, it's Canada, and it's the end of October. I also know that many of my neighbours to the north and west of me have seen snow in the last week, but I'm still going to complain, at least a little bit.

It's been freezing here recently! 

In fact, it's been so cold, that I've been forced to bring out one of my wool coats.

The mornings are extremely brisk, so I need to bundle up, or else I feel like I'm going to freeze to death on my way into work. Am I being dramatic? Probably, but whatever. 

The only good thing about the colder temperatures is that I get to wear some of my cold weather jackets. This jacket is definitely a fall/early winter staple of mine. It's perfect for those cold days that are still somewhat tolerable. 

Even though I've had this coat for a couple of years, I've recently, noticed that I've been drawn to grey. My more recent purchases have been quite grey, but I only realized that after I brought them home. I guess I really do like to dress according to the weather, and when it's grey and dreary outside, I guess I'm not big into colour.

Aside from weather, my fashion choices are also influenced by what I see around me, but even more so, what I see on blogs that I read. Ya'll are a bad influence! I saw this cardigan featured on a blog, and I fell in love it with. When I tried it on, I loved it even more in person. SOLD. The same goes for the booties. I saw these on a blog a while back, and knew I had to have them.

As for the hat? Well, I've seen a ton of floppy hats on different blogs, and when I saw this one in store and tried it on, I figured it would be a fun addition to bring to NYC. I love it so much, that I'm going to continue wearing it here at home. I can assure you that I wouldn't have ever tried this on a year ago, let alone wear it to work! This is why I love blogging...
