Florals and Ruby Red Wedges

Waking up early for work is always a little bit easier when I know I have a fun new dress to wear. I'm sure just about all of you reading this can agree.

I have a bit of a Target addiction these days, which I blame on years of seeing other bloggers wearing all sorts of cool outfits that somehow incorporate find from Target. I'll admit, I was always a bit skeptical as to how a store that so closely compares to Wal-Mart and Zellers (Canadians will know what that is) was so fashionable.

Even though I make somewhat frequent trips to the US for shopping, I never made it a priority to hit Target. After all, big box stores tend to stress me out and I passionately hate fluorescent lighting.

I wasn't even that excited to make my first trip to a Canadian Target a couple of months ago. Naturally, it only took a matter of seconds after walking into the place that my opinion completely changed. As soon as I smelled the fresh Starbucks' coffee brewing, I knew I was in for something great....or, dangerous.

Of course, there's certain things at Target that will just never appeal to me, but I love going there for fun pieces that I can mix into my wardrobe for a season or two. I used to primarily check out H&M and Forever 21 for those cheap, fun, trendy pieces, but I'd rather shop at Target now because the experience is much more enjoyable.

I picked up this dress a little while ago and felt today was the perfect day for it to make it's debut...with the red shoes I mentioned in this post. If you're on the edge of your seat about whether or not I kept them both, I'll fill you in. I only kept these red shoes. They're not as comfortable as I thought, so they aren't overly versatile.

Do you want to go to Target right now? I've been told I'm a bad influence...

  4. I absolutely LOVE Target! Their clearance section is sometimes out of this world. I've found the most amazing skirts there for like $5 and $6. It's like digging for buried treasure lol.

I love this outfit here, especially with the red shoes!

    1. That's basically the same thing that I say about Target. I'm surprised I didn't say that in the post, because I always tell people that. Most think I'm a bit crazy, so I'm glad you "get" it!

  12. Thanks for the comment Jackie! I will most definitely be following your blog. :) I must say, I am definitely looking forward to my Canadian Target store opening - bloggers always post the cutest clothes from there. Too bad I have to wait until the winter, though at least it gives me something to look forward to.

  13. Haha has to laugh at your Zellers comment! I remember that store! I've seen tons of bloggers rocking target finds but have yet to venture into the Canadian target.

    Your dress is cute!

  15. Every once in a while, I find myself in a Target and I can't stop myself from wanting to pick up at least 5 things from their women's section. You have to be careful of quality though, but if you find something made of a sturdy fabric, it'll be a great fashion steal.
