Cheers to a Jeager-Style Weekend

It's hard to believe we're already half-way through June. Seriously, these summer months just fly by.

I'm always so much busier in the summer, mostly because I actually feel like being outdoors. With a few outdoor events this weekend, I kept myself busy.

Friday afternoon, I went to an annual Jaegermeister party from work. It's a really cool event, with a strong "hipster" vibe, since it's hosted in a parking lot downtown. There's always a theme to the party and this year, it was construction-themed. They captured all of the small details, from the forklift, to the pick up truck, to the snack cart, and the food truck. Since it was a Jaegermeister party, there were plenty of (free) drinks to go around too.

I have my Spartan Race coming up next Saturday, so I had to make sure to get a run in over the weekend. I find it's really difficult to keep up with the gym and working out at this time of year, so I was happy that I was able to make the time. I did over 5 miles yesterday, so I felt good about that. I also managed to hit the gym today, so I think I'll be able to survive 5K next week. We'll see...

My friends and I decided to check out a local fair on Saturday night. It was certainly a different atmosphere than the party from the night before, but it's always nice to check out local events. This one was a little bit small, so we didn't really go on any rides, but there was a Bon Jovi cover band that we watched for a while. It was actually a pretty good cover, but the mosquitos were pretty brutal.

Now, it's off to my softball game.

Me at the party! Outfit details - Tank and pants: Aerie, Blouse: Brandy Melville, Scarf: Gap, Fedora: Urban Outfitters

Some of the details the Jaegermeister team came up with to create the "construction" theme

A glimpse of the food truck. I decided to wait it out, because naturally, the line was super long.

Finally got my hands on a pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious!
Details from my run, with my favourite App - Runkeeper (streets blurred because this is the Internet and I don't have trust!)

A (sweaty) selfie. I always love a good selfie.

My outfit of choice for a cool evening - A dress as a skirt with a chambray

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to start the week off refreshed!

  5. You look very festival-appropriate. I'm always in awe of people that can run long distances. I can only go about 5 mins on a treadmill before my sides start hurting :(

    1. Honestly, I used to struggle after like 1-2 minutes on the treadmill at a jogger's pace. It happens SO gradually. It's taken me a few years to even get this far.
