May 2-4 Happenings

The Victoria Day long weekend is one that I always look forward to. While it's always nice to have an extra day off, it's considered to be the 'unofficial' kick-off to summer. I love the feeling of summer just beginning and having the whole season to look forward to.

The weather couldn't have been better this weekend and I was sure to spend as much time outside as possible. I began and ended my long weekend with a trip downtown, which is something I never do in the winter.

Below are some snapshots of my long weekend!

Spending time browsing the cool shops on Queen West (popular shopping district downtown)

A couple of beers at the bar with friends

Getting in a great run outside with a new personal best - 4.35 miles in 49 minutes!

A perfect night for softball on Sunday, fireworks and all!

Amazing Sangria on a rooftop patio. This pitcher wasn't cheap, but was worth every penny.

Taking in the perfect surroundings on the rooftop patio

Free Lady Antebellum concert downtown

Enjoying the warm weather and sunshine!
How did you spend your weekend?

  1. I've been wanting to start running. Over 4 miles in 49 minutes, that's amazing! Really like the floral top you're wearing. Thanks for visiting my blog :)

    1. Running is tough, but it's something I've really noticed a change in recently, which is really rewarding. I used to get winded after about 60 seconds!

Thanks for returning the visit and stopping by my blog :)

  2. You mentioned Victoria Day, so I was trying to figure out where in Canada where you were from. The second last picture definitely gave it away ;)
P.S. It's so weird how Victoria day already passed this year. May 2-4 is just a normal weekend this time!

    Sincerely,
    Sabrina

    1. Only a local would know that!

I know, I don't really understand why the long weekend isn't this upcoming one...

    1. I used to struggle after about 1 minute on a treadmill and trust me, though it's still a work in progress, it doesn't happen overnight!

    1. Food and drink seems to taste better out of a mason jar for some reason.

Hopefully it warms up soon in Luxembourg. We seem to be back to fall again here, even though it was warm and humid just yesterday.
