Hat Person?

Happy hump day!!

I hope you're having a good week so far. 

Even though this past weekend wasn't a "long" weekend, I was still able to keep myself really busy. I spent my Saturday volunteering with friends at our local Beer Store, collecting empties to collect money for blood cancer research. I found out about the event because my best friend was organizing it, and we not only raised a lot of money, but we had fun doing it. It was a cool experience to volunteer for charity, but I also liked the people-watching. You see all kinds at The Beer Store, that's for sure!

Saturday was unseasonably cool, but it was very sunny. I knew that I had to dress accordingly, knowing I'd be spending the whole day outside. I've had some bad experiences in past summers where I've gotten a sunburn on my scalp, so I figured I'd wear my favourite trucker hat to protect myself.

Aside from my other weekend happenings, I had my usual Sunday softball game. I mentioned this before, but I play in a few different softball leagues at this time of year. One of my teams has taken the next step in making cool uniforms and ordered some  trucker hats with our team logo on them to go with our t-shirts. I love this hat!! Apparently I love it so much, that I couldn't help myself and had to take a quick selfie before my game.

It's a bit weird to me, but lately, I've been getting really excited about wearing hats. I never used to consider myself a "hat person" because I have a small head and find that sometimes I look a bit silly in hats. 

I have a fedora that's gotten some love from me over the years, but last summer, a bird pooped on it, so I'm in the market for something new. Wearing my baseball caps over the weekend reminded me that I actually really like wearing hats, so I've been looking online and trying to figure out what I want to buy for this year.
